What we shipped
- Full Google Business Profile audit, optimisation, and ongoing management
- Review acquisition strategy built for consistency, not one-time spikes
- Website restructure around Houston roofing service lines and location pages
- Local keyword expansion across residential and commercial roofing queries
- Technical SEO foundation: speed, schema markup, and crawl structure
- Reporting tied to GBP interactions and call volume, not rankings alone
Residential and commercial roofing work was there to be won. Houston is a large, active market with consistent demand for roofing services — storm damage, replacements, commercial contracts. The business was credible and the service offering was real. But 1.35K clicks and 52.7K impressions over six months meant the market largely couldn’t find them. The brand existed. The local search engine underneath it did not.
Reading the local landscape before touching anything
Rose Roofing’s GBP was underleveraged. Keyword coverage across the service lines and Houston-area locations that drive roofing inquiries was thin. And the website wasn’t structured to support the local authority signals that determine who shows up when someone in Houston searches for a roofer.
What we built
The GBP work came first: optimisation across every signal that influences map pack visibility — categories, services, attributes, photo strategy, and a review acquisition process that built social proof consistently over time rather than in one burst. A well-optimised GBP in a competitive local market is not a one-time task. It requires ongoing management, and we built that into the program from the start.
On the website side, we restructured content and architecture around the service lines and Houston-area locations that drive commercial and residential roofing inquiries. Location-specific pages, service-specific pages, and the internal linking structure that tells Google how they connect. The technical foundation — speed, crawlability, schema markup — was addressed in parallel, because local rankings are determined by the whole picture, not any single factor.
Keyword coverage expanded from a narrow base to a footprint that matched how Houston residents and property managers actually search when they need a roofer.
The outcome
But the numbers that matter most in local SEO are the ones that show up in the GBP dashboard, not the Search Console. Google Business Profile views increased by 783%, from 1.2K to 10.6K. Phone calls grew by 697%, from 38 to 303. Direction requests increased by 645%, from 55 to 410.
Those are the signals that mean someone found Rose Roofing and decided to act. Website traffic increased by 528%. Top-3 keyword rankings increased by 389%.
Rose Roofing went from largely invisible in Houston search to the number one ranking roofing company in the market. The partnership is ongoing.
The throughline is the one that drives every local engagement we run: map pack visibility and GBP interactions are the mechanism. More calls, more jobs, and more closed revenue for a business that had already earned the right to rank — that is the output.
